East Hartford, Connecticut (December 22, 2025) – Roger Wierbicki, Founder/CEO of FreeAgentNow, a Connecticut-based technology company that assists student-athlete recruitment, has been accepted into the USA Hockey Goaltending Gold Course program.
“The Gold Course is the summit of USA Hockey’s goaltending educational experience,” said Roger Wierbicki, Founder/CEO of FreeAgentNow. “The caliber of instruction is PhD level in the world of goaltending. From Team USA Leadership, to NHL players and scouts, to NCAA coaches, the one-on-one guidance, analytical breakdown of goaltending theory, followed by the actual application of study in a game setting is truly next level.”

The USA Hockey Gold Course is a 10-month educational curriculum of goaltending development. Only ten (10) students were selected out of a national search for the 2026 cohort. The capstone event will take place in Boston in August 2026 at the Second Annual, USA Hockey National Goaltending Symposium. At that conference, the selected Gold Course students will present their course of study, along with their thesis to a panel of education and hockey experts in hopes of graduating with this prestigious distinction.
